Roles and Responsibilities

President: 

  • Represents the association to all students and the University.

  • Organizes, leads, and attends all meetings.

  • Prepares and files any reports required.

  • Maintains contact with the association advisor.

  • Maintains contact with the HDP department.

  • Serves as a spokesperson for the association.

  • Assists all executive officers.

  • Provides follow-up to organizational tasks.

  • Recognized voting member.

Vice President:

  • Assumes the responsibilities of the President in their absence.

  • Assists President with responsibilities.

  • Recruits new members.

  • Leads all fundraising efforts.

  • Attends all meetings.

  • Performs other duties as directed by the President​.

  • Recognized voting member.

Secretary:

  • Keeps a record of all the activities of the association.

  • Notifies all members and prepares agenda for all meetings.

  • Prepares association's calendar of events.

  • Attends all meetings.

  • Performs other duties as directed by the President.

  • Recognized voting member.

Event Coordinator: 

  • Takes the lead in planning all events.

  • Attends all events and makes sure they run smoothly.

  • Performs other duties as directed by the President.

  • Recognized voting member.
     

Social Media Coordinator:

  • Maintains all social media accounts.

  • Builds social media presence for the association.

  • Performs other duties as directed by the President.

  • Recognized voting member.

General Membership:

General Members must complete one of the following:

  • Attend one meeting and one event per quarter

  • Attend two events per quarter

  • Attend two meetings per quarter

​

AS A TEAM:

  • Work together to come up with ideas for events and how best the HDPSA can serve HDP students.
